     Release It Counseling is a Christian counseling agency birthed in 2020 in Suffolk, Virginia since  through a direct command of the Lord to our Founder to open a practice and name it Release It Counseling. What began as obedience became a sacred assignment. Release It Counseling is more than a group private practice. It is a prophetic healing center rooted in Isaiah 61:1: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and freedom to prisoners.”

          This practice was founded to serve those who are not only emotionally wounded, but spiritually bound by cycles of trauma, rejection, fear, and generational oppression. We believe healing must reach deeper than symptom management. True healing restores identity, breaks bondage, and releases what was never meant to be carried.

           Our clinicians are licensed professionals who also walk in a mantle of healing, spiritual discernment, and deliverance. Our approach is deeply holistic, honoring the integration of sound clinical practice with Spirit-led insight, biblical truth, and, when welcomed by the client, prophetic revelation. We believe healing is not simply about coping. It is about release. Release is an act of surrender that creates space for freedom to grow. This belief is captured in our motto: Release, Heal & Grow.

       We recognize that faith plays a vital role in emotional healing and in breaking unhealthy cycles. Therefore, we honor the presence of the Holy Spirit in our work, our ethics, and in every soul that walks through our doors. For clients who desire more than traditional counseling, we intentionally create space for prayer, discernment, and prophetic encouragement. This is always offered with consent and never imposed.

        Release It Counseling exists for those who know their healing will require more than conversation alone. It will require truth. It will require the presence of Yahweh. And it will require clinicians who are anointed to see beyond what is presenting, to speak to what is buried, and to help breathe life into dry places so that growth can occur.
